The 56-foot wide parcel faces the public beach across Anna Maria Island’s coastal drive. The intent of the design was to reconnect the elevated house with the yard below. From the raised living space, the house first descends to an elevated pool deck to again step down to another elevated deck four feet above grade. The master bedroom cantilevers over the pool creating a shaded deck below from which to admire the beach.
